The announcement text:
We are a new company seeking a part time employee as a helpdesk technician. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, thorough, have strong communication skills, be able to take ownership of a problem and posses a desire to learn. You will be responsible for providing both a professional demeanor and a high level of service to our clients at all times. You will work closely with clients under the direction of managers on day to day assignments. While technical experience is important, we are just as concerned with good attitude and aptitude. As our company grows, we hope to transition the position to that of a full time role.



Job responsibilities:



• Working trouble tickets all the way through resolution or escalation.

• Facilitate communication between our firm and clients.

• Notify project manager of relevant information gathered from an initial contact/troubleshooting perspective, communicate any changes to the scope of work that arise during initial contact to the project manager so an effective decision and further course of action can be made.

• Troubleshoot technical issues remotely such as spyware cleanup, printing issues, migrating users to new computers, setting up new internet connections, etc.

• Installation and setup of servers, routers and network equipment.

• Installation, maintenance and configuration of Microsoft Server and Workstation operating systems, Exchange Servers & Internet filtering servers.



Requirements:



• BA or equivalent

• 2 years of experience in an IT support position

• Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Exchange Server environments

Compensation: $20 - $30 / hour; up to 20 hours per week.
